What I love best about Lady GaGa:
The parodies she inspires, LMAO!!!!
“Big Bang Boom” aka, video of AWESOME!
It’s almost ten minutes long, but it’s just incredible. It’s entirely stop-action, so just THINK how long it took the creators to make… mind-blowing.
Yep. Vampires DO suck!
Hang on until the last 10 seconds…TOTALLY worth it! BWAHAHAHAHA!!! (and yes, this is an actual movie)
P.S. Yes, I completely get the irony between this post and my last one. :P
When I say “Bella”…
…you probably think I’m talking about “Twilight”, right?
*gag*
The “Bella” I’m talking about in this post is actually a jewel of an independent film that slipped through the cinema cracks of 2006. I recognized exactly no one in the entire cast and was likewise completely oblivious of the director (Alejandro Gomez Monteverde) and any of his previous projects.
The story itself is very simple, a one day snapshot in the lives of two people: “He is a an international soccer star is on his way to sign a multi-million dollar contract when a series of events unfold that bring his career to an abrupt end. She is a beautiful waitress, struggling to make it in New York City, discovers something about herself that she’s unprepared for. In one irreversible moment, their lives are turned upside down… until a simple gesture of kindness brings them both together, turning an ordinary day to an unforgettable experience.”
A tad confusing with flash back scenes colliding with the current timeline of the movie, but any “Lostie” will easily get over that, lol! The real payoff, if you’ve paid attention to the entire story (and sub stories) is the last five minutes or so of the movie.
A word of caution: This is a film for lovers of real cinema. If you’re a fan of likes of “Big Momma’s House” and “Dumb and Dumber”, this film probably isn’t for you.
Lucy + fireworks = 50lbs of shaking puppy.
Like many dogs, Lucy is terrified of fireworks. When she hears the crack/crackle/boom starting…well, she turns into a quivering, terrified, little wreck because clearly the world is ending! Poor girl. The stupid rednecks in the area have been lighting them off for the last couple of weeks! Lucy is just a mess. :(

Don’t worry, Lucy…I’ve got your “drugs” all ready to go for tonight’s “grand finale”. Hopefully you won’t even be aware of what’s happening.
Here’s a good resource on how to help your dog through the worst night of their lives: “Dogs and Fireworks – Fear & Anxiety”
My brother is a pyromaniac.
Ever since I can remember, my brother has had a fascination with fire and things that go “Ka-BOOM!” So of course it is absolutely no surprise to anyone who knows him that if he made it into adulthood alive, he would get his pyrotechnic license and become an official pyromaniac.
These are from the most recent show he and his crew did:

There he is, on the left.

Still on the left in full fire protection gear (required for everyone on the barge).

The thing about fireworks is that they can be a bit...unpredictable. This one, for example, didn't really want to explode when it was supposed to. It decided to explode a little early...just above the deck of the barge...

Yep. These babies are a far cry from the M-80's he used to use as a kid. Thanks to quick thinking on his and the crew's part, no one was injured...just slightly singed around the edges. Stay safe bro!!
Happy 4th of July!
