“Sometimes Democrats can be their own worst enemies. Democrats are an opinionated bunch. You know the other side, they just kind of do what they’re told. Democrats, ya’ll thinkin’ for yourselves. I like that in you, but it’s time for us to make sure that we finish the job here, we are this close and we’ve got to be unified.”

Yes, I know it looks like he’s insulting the Republican party…but honestly, I think he’s just really slick at delivering a backhanded compliment. *wink*

He framed his words in such a way that it would look like an insult putting down “the other side”, but actually, if you think about what he’s really saying, he’s insulting the Democrats and their inability to actually organize themselves and finish ANYTHING they start!

Read this: “but it’s time for us to make sure that we finish the job here” and “we’ve got to be unified” then tell me that doesn’t sound like a slap at the “thinkin’ for yourselves” Democrats. He’s actually saying that Democrats often can’t accomplish anything because of internal disagreements and Republicans do because they will unite politically, putting aside personal preferences in favor of party success.  Congressional Republicans are simply a disciplined bunch. They get their orders, and they execute. It’s damn effective!  You can’t get three Democrats to agree on paint color, let alone anything remotely political! Fractious and opinionated, no discipline…note the current Congress, to say nothing of the past several.

Did he say it in a derogatory way?  Hell yes.  It was a classless remark and honestly, I expect better from a president who claims to support bipartisanship. Divisive remarks will not bring any of us together.

I do believe the proper response of Republicans should not be outrage, but rather, “Why thank you, Mr. President. That’s quite a compliment.”

New ACORN video: The San Diego sting

POSTED AT 9:49 PM ON SEPTEMBER 16, 2009 BY ALLAHPUNDIT

I’ve been waiting 45 minutes for Big Government to post the new clip but it looks like this is the best we’ll do for now. Fifty-eight seconds long and it looks like we’ve got (a) a conspiracy to smuggle underaged sex slaves across the border and (b) a kinda sorta proposition to Hannah Giles. Full clip to come, if/when it’s posted.

You’re all modern-day McCarthyites for watching this. You know that, right?

Interesting similarities…

and

Hmmm.

Two nations in search of reform.  Each trying to make their government not just hear their voices, but really listen to what their voices are saying.

Of course, the obvious difference:  the US Tea Party protesters haven’t been openly attacked by their own government.  At least not with tear gas, water cannons, and AK-47′s.   Big difference that.

The Daily Show: September 15, 2009 - "The Audacity of Hos" Two kids with a video camera and their grandmother's chinchilla coat uncover ACORN's corruption.

LMAO!!! But he’s got a good point! Where the hell is the mainstream media?  This story has it all: tax fraud, hidden cameras, sex trafficking of minors, “Huggy Bear & Ho” undercover investigators with apparent holes in their verification work, slander, libel, complicit media, overzealous media, riddle speaking whore goblins… Read more…

Curiouser and curiouser! Interesting turn in the ACORN saga…

In a statement released by ACORN, turns out the latest video may not be all it was edited to be.

When the actors approached Ms. Kaelke with their provocative costuming and outlandish scenario, she could not take them seriously. So she met their outrageousness with her own personal style of outrageousness. She matched their false scenario with her own false scenarios.

“They were not believable”, said Ms. Kaelke of the two actors. “Somewhat entertaining, but they weren’t evengood actors. I didn’t know what to make of them. They were clearly playing with me. I decided to shock them as much as they were shocking me. Like Stephan Colbert does – saying the most outrageous things with a straight face.” While her sense of humor might not be funny to many people, the fact is that she spun false scenario after false scenario and the videographer ate them up.

They’ve also listed a police report verifying the fact that Ms. Kaelke’s known former husbands are indeed alive:

The San Bernardino Police Department is investigating the claims made regarding the homicide. From the initial investigation conducted, the claims do not appear to be factual. Investigators have been in contact with the involved party’s known former husbands, who are alive and well. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with further information is asked to contact the Police Department’s Homicide Division at (909) 384-5615.

This of course calls into question all of the other videos.  Still…Part II of the San Bernardino video is yet to be released…who knows what is yet to be revealed.  Also, the fact that Ms. Kaelke made up this story is more or less irrelevant to the fact that she offered to help set up a brothel for child prostitutes (same as MD, DC, NY).  Why didn’t she invite them to leave?  Why did she mess with them instead of upholding the claimed values and supposed ethics of the ACORN organization?

This story is starting to take some very odd turns.  Is this a new tactic of ACORN? Did O’Keefe and Giles not follow up with their verification work?  One thing is certain…a nice, long, independent investigation would sure clear things up in a hurry!!  The sooner, the better!

Score 1 for ACORN.  They’re still down by 3…maybe.  ;)

And more ACORN…damning videos just keep dropping.

ACORN, your time is very limited.

Baltimore, MD; Washington D.C.; Brooklyn, NY; and now San Bernadino, CA.  Still the mainstream media is silent.

The Census Bureau fires themthe Senate votes 83-7 to cut funds, the GOP steps up the action with a demand to cut all federal funding of ACORN and urge a probe into ACORN’s ethics. I’m truly puzzled.  NBC, ABC, and CBS spends time quoting Pres. Obama for calling Kanye West a “jack-ass” for his douche-a-riffic interruption of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the VMA’s, but can’t spare even a 30 second spot on their nightly news broadcasts for this?!?  WTH??!  There is nothing mainstream about today’s media.  (P.S. Audio of Pres. Obama on Kanye – right here – thank you PhillyD)

Now, onto the California video… Read more…
