Oh…John Mayer…

March 3, 2010 1 comment

We all know you have an incurable case of verbal diarrhea, not to mention a total lack of propriety when it comes to talking about women of your past, but there are some things you can do and do very well.  This is one of them:

John Mayer saw Austin’s sign from the first row which asked if he could come on stage and play Belief with him. John accepted and invited Austin on-stage to join him and together they played the song.

Way to go John. A lot more of this, a lot less of the ‘divulging of intimate details’ (which only serves to boost your own personal ego and we know it)…you’ll be well out of this sticky tabloid existence you currently find yourself in. Shoot, you’ll be heading full on back into ‘respectability’!

Even if it was nothing but a self-serving stunt aimed to make you look better, it also had the wonderful effect of making Austin’s dreams come true. Of course you understand that! You WERE that kid once! and you know that your generosity meant everything to that him! Kudos!

Alright, I’m not a Miley Cyrus “fan”, but…

…this guy is turning me into one.  :D

I defy you to watch this video and NOT fall in love just a little bit.

He’s just…FUN to watch! Especially the chorus, LOL!  I can’t help but like the song when I see him “singing” it.  Thanks for making my day, CaptainValor.  ;)

P.S. This is the same guy who’s video I posted earlier this week. Full of funny! :D

Yeah...THAT's not a creepy image at all! LOL!

We’ve been waiting for weeks!  And today is the 8th, the much anticipated press blitz of “Love Never Dies” has launched!  Tour the Phantom’s Scrapbook (creepy stalker goodness!), preorder the soundtrack, even buy your tickets!  And really, this is as good an excuse as any to go to London.

Here’s a peek at what was and what is coming… Read more…

Ever.  Especially not creepy stalker love, which we all know is the most enduring kind of love there is…awwwwww.  ;D  And speaking of creepy, check out this image from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s upcoming new play, “Love Never Dies” (a la “Phantom of Manhattan”).  Kind of looks like Emmy Rossum without eyeballs.  O_o    *shudder*

Love Never Dies.

Yes, our favorite stalker returns!  This time, the Phantom goes to New York presumably for a new start, undoubtedly he is following Christine…again Read more…

Remember when music videos told stories?

July 19, 2009 4 comments

At some point…and I’m not sure what point that was, MTV went from ultra high art story telling entertainment to psychotic ADD programming, then, it went totally commercial and spawned the world of reality tv from which none of us have ever recovered.  Reality tv is here to stay, unfortunately, because really, who can resist trainwrecks like “Wife-Swap” and “Dating in the Dark”?

However, before the advent of such disgraceful voyerism, there were videos like “Walking on Broken Glass”.  I love Annie Lennox.  There’s a woman who really “got it”.  All of her videos tell a story, but then her music always tells a story too.  Maybe it’s not a question of video making as much as it is a question of the quality of music.  Hmm.

ANYWAY.  Hope you enjoy to above video.  I loved it when it came out in 1992…I love it still though I hadn’t seen it in over a decade.  I love it even more now that I recognize two of the key characters in the video.  Malkovich is obvious…but the big question is…what is House doing there?  (Oh yes, Hugh Laurie fans, that is definitely him.  If I had the time or the inclination, I’d make  ”House” video and use Annie’s video for a dream sequence, LOL!!)

P.S.  DJ Earworm did an AMAZING mashup of classic Annie tracks including Little Bird, SING, Why, No More I Love You’s, Shinging Light, Walking on Broken Glass and many more.  Dude is amazing!!!  And apparently, Annie likes his work so much, she’s featuring his video of her works on her YouTube site!

Yep…Annie Lennox.  Layers upon layers upon layers of talent and creativity.  She is forkin’ brilliant!  And DJ Earworm’s video show’s that very, very well. :D
