The North Jetty

We’d been discussing it for a few days. We’d been needing to go for a loooooong time. So, when Saturday came around and we saw that there was a lovely break in the weather, we packed up the truck and headed to the North Jetty. Even the sun came out to play for a while (and that is no small feat in February, in Oregon!). More pics to follow, including my “blown away” series. ;)

Glad you got to have your day that you needed, Kara. :) That beach looks amazing- and so deserted! Guess so as it being February, lol. I must get up to Oregon to see some of those shores one day. Yes, we have beaches in CA, lol…but the shores in Oregon seem to have a ruggedness about them that really attracts me.

You really must!!! I know exactly the perfect place to take you…it’s called “The Devil’s Punchbowl”. Not exactly a place where you can get down to the water, but when you look down into it, you know why they call it that!
Also, Heceta Beach is the perfect combination of sandy beach and rugged terrain. And, of course, you can’t miss Cannon Beach and it’s amazing sea stacks! So much coast…so little time!!!
