We, as a people, a society, do not seem to learn the lessons of our past. A similar event happened in my youth, almost 30 years ago to the day. It made a lasting impression on me, and I was deeply saddened to learn of Neda. I pray that her story will inspire her people in their quest, and that her death will not have been in vain.
