Too well deserved…
Just echoing what is undoubtedly being repeated over and over in the cyberdome…Congratulations to Heath! Only the 2nd posthumous Oscar in the history of the Academy Awards. The first being Peter Finch, who was posthumously named best actor more than 30 years ago for his performance in 1976′s “Network.”
So many are calling “The Dark Knight” Ledger’s “last film”…and true enough, it was his last completed film. There is one film left though…so this isn’t the very last we’ll see of Heath Ledger: “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus”.

Judd Law, Colin Firth, and Johnny Depp have all stepped in to resume Ledger’s role as “Tony”. The story apparently works well with the transitions – something to do with a magic mirror and falling through it: interested parties can read a more complete synopsis HERE. In any case, this film feels a lot like another favorite of mine: “Mirrormask”! The official release date is set for September 2009. Step through the mirror:
